Due to paucity of accommodation in some Zones opted by the candidates in the cities of Chennai, Indore, Bangalore and Hyderabad some of the candidates have been allotted examinations centres in other zones of the said cities where the accommodation is available. In view of this, it is not possible to accede to the requests of the candidates for transfer to an examination centre in a particular zone of the city opted by them.

US market regulator SEC has asked IT major Wipro to prove independence of its auditor KPMG India, failing which the company may have to appoint new auditors or get its business books audited again. “We have received a voluntary document request from the SEC’s Division of Enforcement. The document request includes, among other things, issues relating to auditor independence,” Wipro said in a regulatory filing with the SEC.

06 Months Training at Registrar of Companies/ Official Liquidator/Regional Directors – Ministry of Corporate Affairs has agreed to provide part of training( 6 Months ) of 15 Months training in its various offices RD/ROC/OL at the stipend of Rs. 10000/ and Rs. 7000/- per month for Professional Pass and Executive Pass students respectively.
As informed earlier vide announcement dated 2nd July 2010, ICAI is allowing the articled assistants to seek transfer/termination of articleship only on permissible grounds and the articled assistants are advised to get the consent of the Institute before getting Form 109 signed by the Principal in their own interest.
Online Certificate Course in Intellectual Property Rights – The Intellectual Property, one of the important assets of commercial transactions, has become an important measure for corporate viability, competitive edge and sustainable performance. Realizing the importance of IPRs in knowledge era and with a view to equip our members on legal and technical skills in various aspects of Intellectual Property Rights, the Institute has decided to introduce online short term certificate course for its members and students. The course would enable our members and students to gain an appreciation of intellectual property as a tool for corporate advisory and development. The course would combine online study with instructor led training. The course would be launched shortly.
A Half-Day multi Stakeholder consultation is being organized by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ)under a bilateral cooperation, the IICA-GIZ CSR Initiative,Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Focal Point India and The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) on May 10, 2011 at Bengal Club, Kolkata to discuss the Voluntary Guidelines on Social, Environmental and Economic Responsibilities of Business (NVGs) & Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sustainability Reporting Guidelines.
In accordance with the decision taken by institute recently, it is brought to the notice of the students that effective from June, 2011 Session, the system of dispatch of Admit Cards in physical form will be discontinued. The Institute will arrange to upload the E-Admit Cards on the website of the Institute which can be downloaded by the students.
