In the case of exports on an outright purchase in advance as per paragraph 8.59(ii) of the Handbook (Vol 1), the exports have to be completed within a maximum period of 180 days from the date of outright purchase of the precious metal provided the outright purchase was made on or before 11th September, 2001.

A number of DEPB licences have expired in respect of export of formulations relating to the Product Group – Chemicals and yarn dyed Made ups relating to the Product Group- Textiles, due to differences in interpretation . It has therefore been decided that DEPB relating to S.No 37 and 40 of the Product Group – Chemical (Product Code 62) and S.No 69 and 72 of Product Group – Textiles (Product Code 89) shall be revalidated for a period of 6 months from the date of such endorsement by the licencing authority against submission of a request and TR/ demand draft for Rs 200. However no revalidation shall be granted by the licensing authority in cases where misrepresentation/ fraud has come to the notice of the licensing authority or adjudicating orders have already been passed .

The Season’s production year mentioned in the para 2 of above Policy Circular may be changed to 2001-2002 instead of the existing 2000-20001. After above modification, the said para 2 shall be read as. It has been decided to allocate a quantity of 10,000 MTs (Ten thousand MTs) of Free Sale sugar out of season’s production (2001-2002) for export to EEC as preferential white sugar quota (2001-2002).
Exports made from the date of this public notice may be accepted towards discharge of export obligation. Customs may allow provisional clearance of export consignment.However, the exports made in anticipation of grant of extension in EO in terms of this public notice shall be entirely on the risk and responsibility of the exporter.
Exporters should submit copy of Legal Procurement Certificate(s) issued by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests of the concerned State showing the procurement and availability of Sandalwood Root Class/Ainchilta Class with the exporter in the format as prescribed at Annexure I to this Public Notice.
