The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), through Public Notice No. 17/2026-27 dated 04.06.2026, has authorized the Porbandar District Chamber of Commerce & Industries (PDCCI), Gujarat, to issue Certificates of Origin (Non-Preferential) under Appendix 2E of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023. The authorization has been granted by the Director General of Foreign Trade in exercise of powers under Paragraph 2.04 of FTP 2023 and takes immediate effect. PDCCI, located in Porbandar, Gujarat, has been added at Serial No. 18 (Rajkot) in Appendix 2E, which contains the list of agencies authorized to issue Non-Preferential Certificates of Origin. These certificates serve as proof of the origin of goods for international trade where preferential tariff benefits are not claimed. With this inclusion, exporters in the region can obtain such certificates directly from PDCCI, thereby expanding the network of authorized agencies under FTP 2023 and facilitating trade documentation processes.
