PRESS RELEASE NO. 402/92/2006 – MC (35 OF 2010) The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has amended the Rules relating to electronic filing of income tax returns vide Notification No.49/2010 dated 9th July 2010. It has been decided to make ASBA bid-cum application forms available for download and printing, from websites of the Stock Exchanges which provide electronic interface for ASBA facility i.e. Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE). The ASBA forms so downloaded shall have a unique application number and can be used for making ASBA applications in public issues. A sample of the form is enclosed at Annexure A.

The sectoral regulator Irda today said it has finalised the IPO guidelines for insurance companies and has referred the same to the capital markets watchdog Sebi for final approval which is expected soon.”We are expecting the guidelines shortly. We have given our observations. The matter is currently with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi),” Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (Irda) chairman J Harinarayan told PTI.

The guidelines on credit card operations cover various aspects such as issue of credit cards, interest rates and other charges, wrongful billing, use of Direct Sales Agents (DSAs)/Direct Marketing Agents (DMAs) and other agents, protection of customer rights covering among other things right to privacy, customer confidentiality and fair practices in debt collection, redressal of customer grievances, internal control and monitoring systems, fraud control etc.
