1. SEBI, vide its various communications has mandated all stock exchanges that not be more than twenty per cent of the members of the arbitration committee shall be trading members. 2. It has now been decided to do away with the representation of trading members on arbitration committee/panel of all stock exchanges. It is, henceforth, stipulated that the arbitration committee/panel shall not comprise of any trading members.
RBI Circular No. DGBA.CDD. No.H- 4836 The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has clarified that interest rates on small savings schemes, except the PPF, will remain fixed throughout the term of schemes. In a circular, RBI said interest rate for small savings will be declared on April 1 every year and will remain valid till the maturity of the scheme. The circular has been released as a clarification after it observed that news items are appearing in media conveying an impression that the interest rates on small savings schemes linked to government securities are floating in nature and will undergo change depending on the yields.
Master Circular No.8 /2011-12 (Updated as on January 20, 2012)-. This Master Circular consolidates the existing instructions on the subject of Compounding of Contraventions under FEMA, 1999 at one place. The compounding of contraventions under Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), 1999 is a voluntary process by which an applicant can seek compounding of an admitted contravention of any provision of FEMA, 1999 under Section 13(1) of the FEMA, 1999.
Vide Order No. 17 of 2012 dated 19.01.2012 the CBDT has stated that three IRS officers have been selected as Accountant Members of the Tribunal and that their services are placed at the disposal of the Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law & Justice, with effect from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders.
Notification No. F.7/9/2008-NS.II In pursuance of clause (b) of paragraph 2 of the Public Provident Fund Scheme, 1968 and of sub-clause (ii) of clause (e) of rule 2 of Senior Citizens Savings Scheme Rules, 2004, the Central Government hereby further auhorises the following 111 branches of Central Bank of India to receive, with immediate effect, subscriptions under the Public Provident Fund Scheme, 1968 and Senior Citizens
The Company Law Board has revised the fees payable in terms of Regulations 29 and 30 of the Company Law Board Regulations, 1991 vide Notification No. GSR 32(E), dated 18th January, 2012. The fee for inspection of documents of a case has been revised from ten rupees to fifty rupees per day. The fee for supply of certified copies of order or any other document has been revised from five rupees to ten rupees per page.

Notification No. 05/2012- Customs (N.T.) These rules may be called the Refund of Anti-Dumping Duty (Paid in Excess of Actual Margin of Dumping) Rules, 2012. (2) They extend to the whole of India. (3) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
The Central Board of Direct Taxes has directed the Income Tax department to launch a special drive, from 20th January to 20th March 2012, for verifying high value transactions (investments / deposits / expenditure) from persons who are not assessed to income tax or who have not furnished their PAN while entering into such transactions. In an instruction issued today, the CBDT issued proforma for query letters and responses to be issued to the high value investors / depositors / spenders.
These regulations may be called the Company Law Board (Amendment) Regulations, 2012. 30 Inspection of record and supply of certified copies – (1) The record of a pending case shall be open, as of right, to the inspection and supply of the certified copies thereof to the parties or their authorised representatives, on making an application in writing and on payment of a fee of fifty rupees per day for inspection of documents of a case and ten rupees per page for supply of certified copies of order or any other document respectively and the inspection of record shall be pre-requirement for supply of certified copy of a case.
