President is pleased to release part salary, in advance, amounting to Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) by 23rd November 2016 from the salary for the month of November 2016 in the form of cash pay out to all Non-Gazetted employees of Central Government.

It has been decided to reduce this limit of exchange of old Rs. 500/- and Rs. 1000/- notes across the counter in banks from Rs. 4500/- to Rs. 2000/-. This facility will be available only once per person. The reduced limit of Rs. 2000/- will take effect from 18th November, 2016.
Reserve Bank of India has said that consequent to the withdrawal of Legal Tender Character of existing ₹ 500 and ₹ 1000 Bank Notes, it has made arrangements to distribute the notes in new ₹ 2000 and other denominations across the country.
The Memorandum of Foreign Exchange Management Regulations relating to General/Health Insurance (GIM) and Life Insurance (LIM) in India have also been suitably modified and are annexed at Annex I and Annex II, respectively.
For wedding expenses a maximum of Rs. 2,50,000/- may be withdrawn in cash from the bank accounts, subject to such conditions as may be specified by the Reserve Bank of India.
