Therefore, e-seals merit classification under the Heading 8309 which covers- Stoppers, caps and lids (including crown corks, screw caps and pouring stoppers), capsules for bottles, threaded bungs, bung covers, seals and other packing accessories, of base metal. As seals are specifically mentioned there, e-seals warrant classification under the tariff item 8309 90 30.

Tribunal does not have powers to condone the delay beyond the period of 120 days as mentioned in Rule 7(2) of the Rules. As sequel of above discussion, it is held that appeal filed by the appellant herein is hopelessly time barred as such the delay in filing the appeal is uncondonable in view of the embargo contained in Rule 7(2) of the Rules. Accordingly the application is rejected.

Government of India has vide its Notification F.No. 4(22)-W&M/2018 dated October 08, 2018 announced Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2018-19. Under the scheme there will be a distinct series (starting from Series II) for every tranche which will be indicated on the Bond issued to the investor.
