The Online Correction functionality is now enabled for TDS Statements prior to FY 2012-13 also (Financial Year 2007-08 onwards), provided at least one correction for the relevant statement has been processed by CPC (TDS). CBDT CIRCULAR NO.15/2014 Section 194LC of the Income-tax Act, 1961, introduced by the Finance Act 2102, provided for lower withholding tax at the rate of 5% on the interest payments by Indian companies on borrowings made in foreign currency by such companies from a source outside India. The Central Board of Direct Taxes has issued an order to extend the last date of deposit of tax deducted at source/tax collected at source during the month of September, 2014 from 7th October, 2014 to 10th October, 2014 without entailing any consequential interest.
