Article explain process for MSME Registration, Benefits of MSME Registration for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise, Rebates available after MSME Registration
Micro, Small and Medium sized enterprises in both the manufacturing and service sector can obtain MSME Registration under the MSMED Act. Though the MSME registration is not statutory, it is beneficial for business at it provides a range of benefits such as eligibility for lower rates of interest, excise exemption scheme, tax subsidies, power tariff subsidies, capital investment subsidies and other support.
Ministry of MSME has clarified today, that Udyog Aadhar Memorandum is the only form of registration for MSMEs in India and there is no fee for the registration. This has been clarified in view of some complaints received by the ministry, regarding fee charged by certain agencies for facilitating the registration.
The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (MSMED) Act was notified in 2006 to address policy issues affecting MSMEs as well as the coverage and investment ceiling of the sector. The Act seeks to facilitate the development of these enterprises and enhance their competitiveness.
Credit rating is not a necessary requirement for any Micro and Small Enterprise (MSE) to get loan from Banks and Financial Institutions at economical rates. However, credit rating serves as a trusted third party opinion on the creditworthiness of the MSEs and a good rating helps the MSEs in obtaining faster and concessional credit from banks.
Discover the latest MSME policy urging MSEs to include EM numbers on documents for better identification and compliance with income tax provisions.
