Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) read with the proviso to sub-section (4) of section 83 of the said Act, and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the Government of Maharashtra hereby, makes the following rules further to amend the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Rules, 2005.
In rule 21 of the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Rules, 2005 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Rules ) in sub-rule (1), for the brackets, figures and words (3) and (4) of section 23 the brackets, figures, letters and words (3), (3A) and (4) of section 23 shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been substituted with effect from the 1st April 2005.

The concept of web aggregator is of online enquiry or shopping where a client could get information and premium quotes on all types of policies across Insurance companies at one point.
Following the recent earthquake in Japan and concerns of possible radiation leakage from the affected nuclear plants, there is a need to increase surveillance of food imports from Japan to ensure that they are safe for consumption. Accordingly, it has been decided that Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) would test samples of food articles, particularly fresh produce exported from Japan after March 11, 2011, such as sea food, fruits, vegetables and meat for radioactive contamination. FSSAI has directed their Authorised Officers to have the food articles tested for radioactive contamination from BRIT (Board of Radiation and Isotope Technology), Navi Mumbai before issuing ‘No Objection Certificate’ to Customs.
As announced today in the Mid-Quarter Monetary Policy Review, it has been decided to increase the repo rate under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) by 25 basis points from 6.50 per cent to 6.75 per cent and the reverse repo rate by 25 basis points from 5.50 per cent to 5.75 per cent with immediate effect.

The term “Infrastructure Loan” has been defined in Para 2(viii) of Non-Banking Financial (Deposit Accepting or Holding) Companies Prudential Norms (Reserve Bank) Directions, 2007 and Non-Banking Financial (Non – Deposit Accepting or Holding) Companies Prudential Norms (Reserve Bank) Directions, 2007, respectively. It has now been decided to include “Telecom Towers” also as an infrastructure facility for availing credit facility.
Cabinet Secretariat has brought to the notice of the CVC that in spite of above clarifications issued by CVC, some Ministries/Departments which receive complaints from CVC for taking appropriate action, instead of taking further necessary action at their level continue to forward the same to the Group of Secretaries of Group of Officers for consideration.
