For AY 2009-10 my IT refund cheque was issued to my older bank a/c which is now closed and as per IT directions, I sent one new running bank account cancelled cheque and response sheet duly filled but nothing came back from CPC. Then again for AY 2010-2011 my IT refund cheque again was issued to my same older closed bank a/c and again as per IT directions, I sent one new running bank account cancelled cheque and response sheet duly filled but no response again. So my 2 refunds are now pending (AY 09-10 and AY 10-11) and kindly request CPC to initiate, there is just one phone number which is constantly busy.

The income tax department should shut the department. They are legalized cheaters they are even not bothered to attend the calls we all should unite against such department and initiate moment like in Egypt.
The Income tax dept penalises the taxpayers it they don’t pay the tax on time.
But they do not have a proper Customer Care, they don’t answer the taxpayer when we meet them personally.
Getting the refund from IT is a pain in the back…

I have received an intimation from CPC which is wrong as they have done wrong assessment. I tried to contact 080-43456700 hundreds of time, it never get connected. Get ‘call could not connect’ during working hours and either gets no-reply or answering machine out side 9:00 to 6:00 PM India time. If they can’t receive the call then why they set-up call center to waste tax payers money. Why don’t they provide e-mail or fax number to reach out to them. I have sent letter reply as well via UPS courier but they were unable to deliver as the address is of Post Bag. Bad too bad, shame on CPC and India Tax department.
