In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part-II Section 3, Sub section (ii) vide S.O. No.283(E) dated 31.03.1997, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in Handbook (Vol 1).(RE-01), 1997-2002.
Attention is invited to Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002, as amended and Paragraphs 7.8 and 7.10 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, 1997-2002, as amended and also to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 1997-2002, as amended from time to time.
In exercise of the powers conferred under Pargraph 4.11& 11.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, (incorporating amendments made upto 31.03.2001) , the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby lays down following procedures for export of ‘certified organic products.

A further quantity of 20 lakh MTs of wheat was released for export vide Public Notice No. 48 dated 15.1.2000. This was specially meant for certain designated agencies as already mentioned who would export the same from the stocks held by CI for the Central Pool.
The Standard Input Output Norms appearing at. Sl. No. A-2670 (under Chemical & Allied Product Group) published vide Public Notice No. 15 (RE-2001)/1997-2002 dt. 01/06/2001 shall be treated as withdrawn.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Pargraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, (incorporating amendments made upto 31.03.2001) the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import items (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August,1998) and as amended from time to time.
All import consignments carrying a preshipment inspection certificate from a textile testing laboratory accredited to the National Accredition Agency of the country of origin, certifying that the import consignment does not contain any of the hazardous dyes as per aforementioned paragraph 11 shall be allowed to be cleared.
