Alterations in the Schedule XIV in respect of Intangible Assets

In Schedule XIV to the Companies Act, 1956, after serial number IV relating to Ships and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be inserted, namely:- Intangible Assets (Toll Road) created under Build, Operate and Transfer, Build, Own, Operate and Transfer or any other form of Public Private Partnership Route.

Regarding admissibility of exemption under area-based Notification No. 56/2002-CE dated 14.11.2002

Circular No. 965/08/2012-CX Your kind attention is invited to Notification No. 56/2002-CE dated 14.11.2002 which provides for exemption from the duty of excise to specified goods cleared from industrial units in the State of Jammu & Kashmir to the extent of duty paid in cash by way of a refund mechanism, for a period of ten years from the date of publication of the notification or from the date of commencement of commercial production, whichever is later. The exemption is available to new units which have commenced commercial production on or after 14.06.2002 as well as existing units which have undertaken substantial expansion or have made new investments for employment generation on or after 14.06.2002.

Revised Formats for Disclosure of Financial Results of Listed Companies

It has been decided to carry out consequential amendments to Clause 41 of the Listing Agreement regarding interim disclosure of financial results by listed entities to the stock exchanges, which has been drawn from the format under Schedule VI of the Companies Act, 1956. Accordingly, the format for the said disclosure has been given in Annexure.

Regulations for Standard Proposal form in Life Insurance

The purpose of these regulations is to provide for a standard proposal form for individual policies in Life Insurance that has an inbuilt flexibility for seeking additional /specialized information that is product specific or specific to a particular risk category. The regulations provide for a standard format that consists of four parts, namely (A) Details of the prospect (B). Specialised/Additional information. (C). Needs of the prospect. (D). Recommendation, apart from the required declarations. Sections A, C and D are standard and compulsory and Section B may be modified as required. A separate form is to be collected for each individual life proposed.

Format for Excise & Service Tax Return & changes in Return Periodicity

The attached document is a draft circular containing details of proposed amendments to harmonize the ER-1, ER-3 and ST-3 returns so that a single common return can be prescribed instead of these three returns as measure of simplification of the Business Processes in respect of filing the Return by assesses. The draft is being placed in public domain for widest possible circulation and an extensive debate from all stakeholders in trade and industry as also from all the field formations of the department. Processing of investor complaints against listed companies in SEBI Complaints Redress System (SCORES)

SEBI has commenced processing of investor complaints in a centralized web based complaints redress system ‘SCORES’. Pursuant to SEBI Circular no. CIR/OIAE/2/201 1 dated June 03, 2011 on the captioned subject, all listed companies are required to obtain authentication on SCORES.
