Chartered Accountant is a course created with passion and dedication. Any student can continue this course after the 12th exam. If you are a science student in grade 12 or even have a science degree, you can also become a chartered accountant.
No doubt if you are from a commerce background you will be well versed in key topics such as Accounting. But apart from accounting, there are many other topics that are new to anyone, whether you are from commerce background or not.
The entire CA curriculum is divided into three parts –
CA Foundation
CA Intermediate
CA Final
Students wishing to continue this course can apply for entry level, ie. CA Foundation after taking the 12th exam and qualify to take the CA Foundation exam after passing the 12th exam.
The Institute does not differentiate between commerce and science students. The requirements for taking the exam are the same for both.
Typically, most science students are unfamiliar with business subjects and find a career as a chartered accountant very difficult. In fact, however, this course is much easier for PCM students to follow because they can crack brilliant hand counts and accountants are well-known figures in the financial world. They are expected to analyze financial ratios and review financial statements.
The only challenge is facing the management of Science Accounting students, as this is an accounting major. You cannot proceed until you have a thorough understanding of accounting because accountants are accountants first.
Other subjects are new to everyone, so study like a business student.
The CA Foundation curriculum is divided into four subjects:
1. Principles and Practices of Accounting.
2. Mercantile Laws and General English
3. Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, and Statistics
4. Business Economics and Business and Commercial Knowledge
As mentioned earlier, accounting is a major in auditing, so you should have an in-depth knowledge of all areas of study in your degree. During the given four-month training period, you can take part in training on this topic.
The next course is business law, this course is both new for science and commercial science students. It will give you a basic understanding of company law and detailed knowledge of contract law, partnership law and sale of goods law, etc.
These subjects are combined with a general basic knowledge of English from the English that you pass at primary and secondary levels.
We move on to the next subjects, namely Business Mathematics, Logical Thinking, and Business Statistics, favorite subjects in science but the most daunting subjects for business students. This subject is a combination of mathematics, statistics and reasoning.
20 points are covered by reasoning and the rest of the work is divided equally between math and statistics.
Then business administration and business administration are your fourth and final subjects at CA Foundation level. Surely commercial students are familiar with this topic. But the topic is simple and you don’t need to go into this topic in depth. With proper research and guidelines, you can easily delete this document.
The first two papers, viz. “Principles and Practices of Accounting” and “Mercantile Law and General English” are subjective. The next two, ie. “Business mathematics, logical thinking and business statistics” and “Business Economics and Business and Commercial knowledge are objective papers”.
This course requires 40% of grades in individual subjects and 50% of grades as the sum of all subjects. Therefore, you need to study each subject properly. The objective document contains a negative rating. е points are deducted for each wrong answer, while you get a score for each correct answer.
After passing the initial level, i.e. The CA Foundation’s journey to the next two levels will be the same. You have to go through all eight subjects, just like a commercial student.
There are thousands of students who have gone from academia to business, and today some have CAs, others MBAs.
So, if you are a science student up to grade 12 and want to continue your training to become a chartered accountant, then you can proceed without any problems. The only thing this course requires is hard work and dedication. However, it so often happens that students fail because of the low success rate, but nothing is impossible until you let it.
