Notification No.182/2005 – Income Tax In exercise of the powers conferred by section 295 read with section 285BA of Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Board of Direct Taxes hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Income-tax Rules, 1962, namely

Notification 13/2005 updates import conditions for animal products, requiring a sanitary import permit from the Department of Animal Husbandry for specific goods.
In terms of Para 4.36A of the Hand Book of Procedure, Vol.I of the Foreign Trade Policy, goods imported under DFRC Scheme, which are found defective or unfit for use, may be re-exported as per the guidelines issued by the Department of Revenue. Import of arms is permitted against a license to renowned shooters/rifle clubs for their own use on the recommendation of Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India . However, import of 0.177 bore air guns and air pistols will be free for shooters registered with Rifle Clubs or District/ State/ National Rifles Association.
