Policy Circular No. 59 (RE-2010) /2009-14 Director General (Systems) have accorded SEZ port codes to the following 53 SEZs which have been uploaded on DGFT’s website:-

These representations with other queries also seek clarification with regards to the submission of Annexures by dealers covered under composition scheme in terms of Notification cited at Ref. 1 and 2 above. The issues have been examined.

A reference is invited to our circular IDMD.PCD.No.5053/14.03.04/2010-11 dated May 23, 2011 enclosing the Guidelines on Credit Default Swaps for corporate bonds. As indicated in paragraph 2.1.1 of the guidelines, commercial banks, PDs, NBFCs, mutual funds, insurance companies, housing finance companies, provident funds, listed corporates and foreign institutional investors (FIIs) are permitted as users in the CDS market.

Notification No. 35 /2012 – Customs (N.T.) In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (aa) of sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 12/97-Customs (N.T.), dated the 2nd April, 1997, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide number G.S.R. 193(E), dated the 2nd April, 1997, namely:-

MVAT – Carry forward of refund upto Rs.1 lakh for the F.Y. 2011-12 to F.Y. 2012-13

In view of the above, it is decided on the administrative grounds to allow carry forward of the refund claim upto rupees one lakh for the return period ending March-2012 to the first return of the next financial year i.e. 2012-13. In case, any dealer, who has already filed the claim of refund, for the period/ periods of 2011-12 in Form-501 and desires to withdraw such claim so as to carry forward his refund then such dealer shall file a revised return showing carry forward of such refund. It would be necessary for him to make an application to the concerned authority for withdrawal of refund application in Form 501 In other words, the concession to carry forward the refund as stated above will be considered only if the application for refund is withdrawn.

TRAI Mandates one tariff plan on Per Second Billing basis

In order to ensure that ‗per second billing‘ remains an assured alternative option for all subscribers, it has been decided to mandate that all service providers shall offer at least one pre-paid and one post-paid tariff plan with the pulse rate of one second for local and national long distance calls. The service providers will be at liberty to offer alternative tariff plans with any pulse rate within the overall ceiling of 25 tariff plans.

SEBI Amendment to the Consent Circular dated 20th April 2007

SEBI had issued Circular No.EFD/ED/Cir.-01/2007 dated 20th April 2007, providing the framework for passing of consent orders and for considering requests for composition of offences. On the basis of the experience gained and with the purpose of providing more clarity on its scope and applicability, the circular has been modified.
