In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Companies (Second Amendment) Act, 2002 (11 of 2003) the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of April, 2003 as the date on which the provisions of section 2 and 6 of the said Act shall come into force.
Export of canned meat products shall be subject to preshipment inspection either by the State Directorate of Animal Husbandry or Export Inspection Agency or Directorate of Marketing and Inspection Government of India in accordance with either the standards prevalent in the exporting country or standards prescribed under the Meat Food Products Order, 1973 of Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act, 1963 or orders made thereunder.

Notification No. 01/(RE 2003)/2002-07 announces the Export and Import Policy 2002-07, effective from April 1, 2003, under the Foreign Trade Act, 1992.
Notification No.58 – Income Tax exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clause (b) of the Explanation to section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government on the recommendations of the National Committee, hereby approves the institutions mentioned in column (2) of the Table below and specifies the eligible projects or
(a) Methylene Chloride, originating in, or exported from, the European Union, South Africa and Singapore, has been exported to India below normal value, resulting in dumping; (b) the domestic industry has suffered material injury; (c) injury has been caused by imports from the European Union, South Africa and Singapore;
The anti-dumping duty imposed under this notification shall be effective upto and inclusive of the 26th day of September, 2003, and shall be payable in Indian currency.
