Public Notice 63 (RE-2001) revises export/import norms and updates Chemical & Allied Products under the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002.
Attention is invited to Government of India, Ministry of Finance (Department Of Revenue ), notification no. 17/2001-Customs dated 1st March, 2001, as amended vide notification no. 119/2001-Customs dated 16th November, 2001. As per these notifications, import of the four items viz., (1) Skimmed and whole milk powder, milk food for babies etc. (0402.10 or 0402.21) (2) Maize (corn), other(1005.90) (3) Crude sunflower seed or safflower oil or fractions thereof(1512.11) and (4) Refined rape, colza or mustard oil, other(1514.90) is allowed, upto the quantities as well as such concessional rates of customs duty as indicated therein.
The export deadline for coarse grain and maize under Public Notice No. 61 (RE-2001) is extended to March 31, 2002, by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
Public Notice No. 60 (RE-01)/1997-2002 details amendments to the DEPB rate list, including changes to product categorization and value caps.
In exercise of the powers conferred under Para 4.11 of the Export & Import Policy, 1997-2002, (incorporating amendments made upto 31st March, 2001) the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS)Classification of Export and Import items (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August,1998) and as amended from time to time
Public Notice No. 58 (RE-2001) details updates to export-import procedures, including additions and corrections to Standard Input Output Norms for chemicals and engineering products.
“Amendments to DEPB and deemed export benefits for nuclear power projects in Public Notice No. 57 (RE-01)/2001, dated 21st Dec 2001.”
Attention is invited to the entry at Code No. 1001(b) in Table B of Schedule 2 and SL. No. 12(ii) of Appendix 1 to Schedule 2 in the book titled “ ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 1997-2002 ” (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August, 1998) and as amended from time to time specifying the terms and conditions for export of items indicated therein.
“DGFT amends DEPB rates for engineering, chemicals, and electronics under Export-Import Policy 1997-2002 via Public Notice No. 55, dated 18th Dec 2001.”
In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31.3.2001), and as amended from time to time, the following amendments may be made in the ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import items, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August, 1998 ) and as amended from time to time.
