The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has issued an important clarification denying social media allegations claiming a breach of members’, students’, and examination data. ICAI stated that the circulating posts are entirely false, baseless, and malicious, and confirmed that no breach of records or examination-related information has occurred. The Institute emphasized that these unverified claims have unnecessarily created concern and confusion among students, members, and other stakeholders. Reassuring its stakeholders, ICAI highlighted that it maintains strong and robust data protection systems designed to safeguard all categories of information and remains committed to the highest standards of data security. ICAI further advised students, members, and other stakeholders not to rely on rumours or misleading social media campaigns and instead refer only to official communications issued by the Institute for authentic and accurate updates. Through this announcement, ICAI seeks to dispel misinformation and reinforce confidence in the security and integrity of its data management systems.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has come across certain posts circulating on social media alleging breach of members’/ students’ records and examination data. These unverified claims have caused concern and confusion among students, members and other stakeholders.

In this regard, ICAI clarifies that these claims are completely false, baseless and malicious. ICAI assures all its stakeholders that there has been no breach of members’/ students’ records and examination data whatsoever as alleged or otherwise.

ICAI urges the stakeholders not to give any credence to such false and malicious propaganda in the social media platforms.

ICAI has in place strong and robust systems to protect all kinds of data and remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of data security.

Students, members and all stakeholders are therefore, advised not to believe such rumours and false campaigns in social media and requested to refer only to official communications issued by ICAI for authentic updates.
