Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry vide Notification dated 18th December, 2019 allowed import of Urad upto an annual quota of 04 lakh MT and the same will be allowed only to the Millers/Refiners as per procedure to be notified by Directorate General of Foreign Trade.
As per Trade Notice No.06/2019-20 dated 04.2019, 1.5 lakh MT of Urad has already been allocated. Additional quantity of 2.5 lakh MT of Urad is to be further allocated for import during the fiscal year 2019-20.
Import policy of gold in any form, other than monetary gold and silver in any form, is amended from ‘Free’ to ‘Restricted’; import is allowed only through nominated agencies as notified by RBI (in case of banks) and DGFT (for other agencies). However, Import under Advance Authorisation and supply of gold directly by the foreign buyers to exporters under para 4.45 of FTP against export orders are exempted.
Para 4.68 (a) of Handbook of Procedures 2015-20 stands amended to allow submission of self attested copy of Exporter’s copy of Shipping Bill in place of E.P. copy of Shipping Bill.

CBDT authorizes CIT, to admit belated applications in Form 9A and Form No. 10 in respect of AY 2017-18 where such Form No. 9A and Form No.10 are filed after expiry of time allowed under relevant provisions of the Act.
