Subject: Restriction on import of Pulses.
Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry vide Notification dated 18th December, 2019 allowed import of Urad upto an annual quota of 04 lakh MT and the same will be allowed only to the Millers/Refiners as per procedure to be notified by Directorate General of Foreign Trade.
2. The Notifications comes into force with effect from 18th December, 2019. Copy of the said Notifications is attached herewith for ready reference.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 18th December, 2019
S.O. (E).—In exercise of powers conferred by section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (22 of 1992), read with paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, the Central Government hereby notifies the Import Policy of items of Chapter 7 of the Indian Trade Classification (Harmonized System), 2017, Schedule-1 (Import Policy), as under –
