Procedure for Transfer of Unpaid / Unclaimed Dividend to IEPF- The company shall inform, at the latest available address, the shareholder concerned regarding transfer of shares three months before the due date of transfer of shares and also simultaneously publish a notice in the leading newspaper in English and regional language having wide circulation informing the concerned that the names of such shareholders and their folio number or DP ID – Client ID are available on their website duly mentioning the website address.
MCA Vide its Notification No. 07/05/2017-IEPFA, dated July 19, 2018 has revised and updated the guidelines for the company to facilitate refund of claims by IEPF Authority in light of resubmission option provided in e-form IEPF-5.
In supersession of the guidelines issued earlier, the revised and updated guidelines for the companies to facilitate the refund of the claims by IEPF Authority in the light of resubmission option provided in eform IEPF-5 and list of annexures to be attached in the verification report are enclosed.
These rules may be called the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (Accounting, Audit, Transfer and Refund) Third Amendment Rules, 2017. They shall come into force with effect from the 22nd May 2018.
