No.11/LC/GN/2007/2518. dated May 28, 2007 pertaining to SEBI (Mutual Funds) (Amendment) Regulations 2007 on filing fees for offer documents and deployment of funds in short term deposits of scheduled commercial banks.
In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), 2004-2009, as amended, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in FTP, 2004-2009 (updated as on 19.4.2007).
In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy – 2004-09, the Central Government hereby amends Schedule-I of the ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items, 2004-09.
Rule 4B of Service Tax Rules prescribes that any ‘goods transport agency’ providing service in relation to transport of goods by road in a goods carriage shall issue a consignment note to the customer. In terms of this rule, the “consignment note” means “a document, issued by a goods transport agency against the receipt of goods for the purpose of transport of goods by road in a goods carriage, which is serially numbered, and contains the name of the consignor and consignee, registration number of the goods carriage in which the goods are transported, details of the goods transported, details of the place of origin and destination, person liable for paying service tax whether consignor, consignee or the goods transport agency”.
In exercise of the powers conferred under Para 2.1, 2.4 and 2.29 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in Public Notice No.5 dated 17.5.2007.
Attention is invited to and various Notifications/Public Notices/Circulars issued by this office on the subject mentioned above. This is to inform that an Inter-Ministerial Committee (under DGFT) is in the process of reviewing the present import Policy of marble and other building stones.
The principal notification No. 2/2005-Central Excise (N.T.) dated the 7th January, 2005 was published in the Gazette of India, vide number G.S.R. 10(E), dated the 7th January, 2005 and was last amended vide notification No 28/2006-Central Excise(N.T.) dated 29th Decmber,2006 ,vide number G.S.R. 777(E),dated the 29th Decmber,2006.
The principal notification No. 52/2003-Customs, dated the 31st March, 2003 was published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3 (i) vide G.S.R 274(E), dated the 31st March, 2003 and last amended by notification No. 5/2007-Cus, dated the 15th January, 2007 published vide G.S.R. 27 (E), dated the 15th January, 2007.
Directorate General of Systems, Customs & Central Excise, New Delhi will maintain record of import of tea from Sri Lanka under ISLFTA and ensure that the total quantity imported in a year does not exceed the TRQ. The Directorate General of Systems, Customs & Central Excise, New Delhi may fix the frequency of reports to be sent by EDI/non-EDI locations for this purpose.
Application received within the stipulated period would be considered by the Export Facilitation Committee on merit for issue of Export Licences for export of said items and shall be subject to any other condition, so imposed.
