In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes following amendment in Chapter 5 of the Handbook of Procedures, 1997-2002, Vol. 1 ( incorporating amendments made upto l3th April, 1998).

The DEPB rate for export product as given in Appendix 28A at S.No. 3 of Fish & Fish products may be amended to read as 10%. The enhancement in the above DEPB rate shall be effective from 15.4.98 and shall cover exports of such products made on or after 15.4.98.

For grant/renewal of any status, the application shall be filed latest by 30th November, 1998. Deficiency, if any, must be communicated by the licensing authorities by 15th December. If this is not done, then existance of deficiency and non rectification thereby by 31st December will not be treated as a ground for rejecting the application. The applicant shall be required to submit the rectification of deficiency to the licensing authorities by 31st December.
