In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes following amendment in Chapter 5 of the Handbook of Procedures, 1997-2002, Vol. 1 ( incorporating amendments made upto l3th April, 1998).
The DEPB rate for export product as given in Appendix 28A at S.No. 3 of Fish & Fish products may be amended to read as 10%. The enhancement in the above DEPB rate shall be effective from 15.4.98 and shall cover exports of such products made on or after 15.4.98.
Indian Rupee Value of the special currency Basket for the purposes of deferred payments contracts entered into under the Deferred payments protocol dated the 30th April, 1981 for the period l.l.81 to 31.12.85 and the Deferred payments protocol dated 23rd December, 1985.
In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part-II- Section 3 – Sub- section (ii) vide S.O No. 283(E) dated 31.3.97, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes following amendment in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1) (RE-98), 1997-2002.
Attention is invited to Paragraph 7.8 of the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002, as amended and Paragraphs 7.8, 7.9 and 7.10 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, 1997-2002, as amended and also to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 1997-2002 as amended from time to time.
In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 5 of the Foreign Trade Development and Regulation Act, 1992, ( No. 22 of 1992 ) read with Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Central Govt. hereby makes the following amendments in Schedule 2 Appen. 1 of the book titled ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import items 1997-2002.
These agencies shall send the import return of Mulberry Raw Silk within 15 days from the date of clearance from Customs of such imports to the Central Silk Board and the Director (Stat.), Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi in the format prescribed at Annexure – A for information purposes.
In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 5 of the Foreign Trade Development and Regulation Act, 1992, ( No. 22 of 1992 ) read with Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Central Govt. hereby makes the following amendments in Schedule 2 Appen. 1 of the book titled “ITC(HS) classifications of Export and Import items 1997-2002.
Miscellaneous Items’ of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-02 (Re-98), under which Raw silk/silk cocoons are restricted and are not permitted to be imported except against a licence or in accordance with a Public Notice issued in this behalf.
For grant/renewal of any status, the application shall be filed latest by 30th November, 1998. Deficiency, if any, must be communicated by the licensing authorities by 15th December. If this is not done, then existance of deficiency and non rectification thereby by 31st December will not be treated as a ground for rejecting the application. The applicant shall be required to submit the rectification of deficiency to the licensing authorities by 31st December.
