A student who wishes to obtain certified copies of his/her answer books of any subject(s) of a particular examination shall apply on the prescribed application form together with (a) requisite fee; and (b) self-attested photocopy of his/her Admit Card (Roll No.) or Student Identity Card so as to reach the Institute within 45 days from the date of declaration of the result.

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India in a press release has notified that Admission to Company Secretaries (CS) Executive Programme is on. Graduates seeking admission till 29th February, 2012 will be eligible for Examination in December, 2012. The Council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India in exercise of the powers vested under clause (a) of sub¬section (2) of Section 15 of the Company Secretaries Act, 1980, as amended by the Company Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 2006 has approved, on the recommendations of its Syllabus Review Committee, the detailed contents for the four papers of 100 marks each for Foundation Programme under the new syllabus.
All students may note that for the June 2012 Examination Session in respect of Direct Taxes the applicable Assessment Year shall be 2012-13 (Previous Year 2011-12). Thus, they will have to study Finance Act, 2011 for June 2012 Examination. Further as per the Syllabus, (of Executive Programme and Professional Programme) students are required to update themselves about all the Circulars, Clarifications, Notifications, etc., issued by the CBDT & Central Government, which come into effect on or before six months prior to the date of the respective examinations.
The CS Result December 2011 of Foundation, Executive & Professional Level would be announced on 25th Feb 2012 and would be published at all branches of ICSI. The CS Result December 2011 can also be viewed online on the following website.
The Institute of Company secretaries of India ( ICSI), a premier National Professional body established by Act of Parliament to develop and regulate the Profession of Company Secretaries has launched a new syllabus for CS Foundation Programme today, at New Delhi. The CS Foundation programme consists of four papers viz., Business Environment and Entrepreneurship; Business Management, Ethics and Communication; Business Economics; Fundamentals of Accounting and Auditing.
The revision of syllabus is a process in continnum, to nurture the students in terms of capacity building, knowledge grinding and skills development. The evolving corporate environment and regulatory regime including expansion of globalization and the advancement in technology necessitated the revision of syllabus to make it contemporary. It was in this backdrop that the council of the Institute constituted Syllabus Review Committee with the objective to evaluate the existing syllabus from the perspective of demands and expectations of the corporate, regulators and other stakeholders and re-draw the syllabus to make it more robust, and highly focused to bring it at par with the emerging global trends in professional education.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Chartered Accountants (Amendment) Act, 2011 (No. 3 of 2012) the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of February, 2012 as the date on which the provision of the said Act shall come into force.
