“Learn the step-by-step process to link your Aadhaar card with PAN for compliance with Indian tax regulations. Ensure you meet the deadline to avoid penalties and keep your financial records in order. Follow the simple instructions on the official Income Tax Department website to complete the PAN-Aadhaar linking effortlessly.”

The Aadhaar card, issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), is a crucial identification document for every Indian citizen. It contains biometric and demographic details of the cardholder and serves as a proof of identity and address for various purposes, including opening bank accounts, obtaining SIM cards, and availing government subsidies.

Similarly, the Permanent Account Number (PAN) card, issued by the Income Tax Department of India, is an essential document for filing income tax returns, conducting financial transactions, and opening a bank account.

In recent years, the Indian government has made it mandatory for individuals to link their Aadhaar card with their PAN card. The move aims to prevent tax evasion and ensure that individuals pay their taxes honestly.

The last date to link PAN with Aadhaar has been extended multiple times by the Indian government. As of the latest extension, the deadline to link PAN with Aadhaar is 30th June 2023. Failing to link PAN with Aadhaar before the deadline may lead to penalties or even invalidation of the PAN card. Therefore, it is recommended that individuals link their PAN with Aadhaar as soon as possible to avoid any inconvenience.
