There are few professions which are considered highly respected in the public eyes due to their immense contribution to the society and the nation. No doubt, Teaching profession is one of them. It is said that that “Teaching is a noble profession”, this highlights the responsibility placed on the Teachers towards the society. They are indeed change makers in the world for the betterment of the future generations and for driving growth in the country. Where there is low literacy rate, that state cannot develop and because of that, the entire country lags behind. Many individuals have a natural ability to teach i.e. they are interested in teaching the subjects in such a way that it is easy to understand and the student is enlightened with new ideas, his creative faculty develops, his curiosity increases, develops a positive attitude and thus becomes a responsible and law abiding citizen of the country. As the Manufacturing and Service sector is growing in huge magnitude, the importance of trained personnel to cater their requirements is also increasing. At all levels from technicians, graduates, professionals there is demand, and therefore the Teachers have become an inevitable part of our system and hence their value is ever increasing in modern times. Below mentioned points describe that coaching class is a career option which a person can pursue if he is interested in the Education field and contribute to the development of the nation :

1.There is a need for trained personnel in Industries/various sectors of the economy. This requirement can be met by the teachers who are providing hundreds of hours of coaching to the students and help them face the Examinations confidently and come out with flying colors.

2. The government is giving support and emphasis on the Education and Human Resources Sector. This results in a favorable environment and this boosts all the activity of the Education sector.

3. Earlier there were only few branches of study, however nowadays, there are hundreds of courses available for a student to select from such as Arts, science, law, commerce, Management, Architecture, Hotel Management, Engineering, Medical, Media, Hospitality, etc. Thus the scope of Education sector is ever increasing as the country, science and technology progresses.

4. There is a tough competition for professional courses and entrance exams such as CA, CMA, CS, MBA, Government jobs, IAS and other competitive exams. This requires the need of qualified teachers who are specialist in their respective fields and who have superior knowledge and can guide the students as what should be the approach to clear the difficult exams and enable them clear the exams with good scores.

5. There is a continuous demand for academicians, researchers for the research and development activity and prepare research papers, prepare study materials for students. This is done by the experts who have command over the subject and can guide the students and give direction to the quality of professionals/graduates/post graduates/Ph. D, provided to the industry from the colleges/Institutes.

6. A firm foundation/sound knowledge base helps the students to pursue further studies at an advance level. Example: For pursuing C.A. Foundation Course, the knowledge base of 10+2 should be strong enough so that advanced preparation for C.A. curriculum can be done. In such cases, there is a need of qualified teachers who impart quality education to the students who aspire to do further advanced study so that they can get their dream job/business opportunity.

7. In today’s competitive world, where even 1 mark makes a difference in getting seats in reputed colleges/institutes, teachers impart specialized coaching and systematically guide the students to face the tough examinations and make a career in their chosen field. This profession, thus, gives immense job satisfaction. When a students passes, his teacher is happy because his efforts has shown better results reflected in student’s marksheet.

8. There are low learners who can’t grasp the concepts clearly and quickly, they are not as bright in academics as other intelligent students, they require extra hours of teaching, at such times, coaching classes helps them to understand the intricacies of the subject and get confidence by solving extra problems etc., doubt solving sessions are held and they are also able to score good marks in the exams.

9. The remuneration paid to teachers, if employed, is generally paid on per hour basis and depends on the subject taught and level of exam (SSC, HSC, Graduation, Professional, Entrance Exam, Science, Engineering, Commerce etc.) If self employed, there is more earning as compared to job. Generally, in Teaching Industry, there is above average remuneration paid. Generally, compensation is not a concern because, once the Professor has grip on the subject and the students are performing well, the demand is always there.

10. Persons who possess quality knowledge and are interested and have urge to make a mark in the education field can definitely get success as there is tremendous opportunities available in the field. India is ahead of many countries in terms of quality of education and every year many students from foreign countries also come to India to study at various universities.

11. Nowadays, with the advent of technology, teaching has become comparatively easy, there is no need of physically attending the courses. There are recorded lectures, webinars, online courses which, the learner can attend at his own convenience. Now, distance is not a barrier in education and a student sitting in one part of the country can comfortably attend the lectures of the Professors in the other part of the country. Apart from above, recoded lectures on social media platform also gets viewership, students are benefitted and also there is revenue generation.

12. If out of the routine work, a person has 2-3 hours extra per day, he can opt for part time tuition activity which will generate income and his knowledge will be useful to the students. Such part time income, over a period of time, will be considerable and helpful in meeting expenses and investment needs. Thus, its a win win situation of earning as well as fulfilling the dream of entering into the Education Field / Profession.

13. Of late, there has been a rising trend among candidates to join the financial services sector. Professionals such as CA, CMA, CS, MBA, CFA and other specialized courses in Banking and Finance have huge demand in the Finance sector. Now the students plan their career beforehand at the school level or 10+2 level and accordingly they join coaching classes to secure better percentage of marks and to join these highly sought after professional courses. This also necessitates a steady supply of well – educated and experienced professors who can coach the students to prepare for the Professional Exams. For Example : A Qualified Chartered Accountant can opt for Coaching if he is desirous of making a career in the education field and make future of students bright.

Conclusion: Thus, it is seen that there is no dearth in demand for the knowledgeable and experienced Teachers who have the caliber to produce outstanding results from the students. It is a two way process, primarily the student should study taking initiative and secondly, the professor gives timely guidance and support so that the end result is really fantastic.
