Attention is invited to Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002, as amended and Paragraphs 7.8 and 7.10 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, 1997-2002, as amended and also to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 1997-2002, as amended from time to time.
These STEs/agencies shall export directly or through the registered exporters on the same terms and condition as laid down in earlier Notification No. 16(RE-2000)/1997-2002 dated 17.5.2000 except condition relating to time prescribed for export for which the date indicated in Para-3 will apply.
In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act,1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Paragraph 1.3 and 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy,1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31.3.2001), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the “ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August,1998)” and as amended from time to time.
In case of applicants at 2(a) above, Value of the licence to be issued in one year shall be limited to 50% of the average CIF Value of imports made by them during the years when this item was under SIL.
In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part-II Section 3, Sub section (ii) vide S.O. No.283(E) dated 31.03.1997, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in Handbook (Vol 1).(RE-01), 1997-2002.
The matter has been considered and it is clarified that the port restrictions as per the Notification no. 41(RE-2001)/1997-2002 dated 19.12.2001, shall not be applicable on import of natural rubber made by units in SEZ. However, import of natural rubber is not allowed under any duty exemption scheme including EOU/EPZ except under SEZ.

However the said notification mandates the production of a certificate from the Joint Director General of Foreign Trade in the Department of Commerce certifying the FOB value of exports made during the preceding licensing year along with the value and quantity of goods imported under Notification 10/2002 during the current licensing year.
Placement of quantity of 8500 MTs of Raw Sugar from the Freesale Quota of 2000-2002 Season (October 1, 2001 to September, 30, 2002) for export of Preferential Raw Sugar Tariff Rate Quota for the fiscal year 2002 (October 1, 2001 to September, 30, 2002) to USA.
It has been decided to allocate a quantity of 10,000 MTs of sugar out of freesale portion of 2001-2002 season’s production for export to Maldives under Articles VIII and IX of the Trade Agreement between Government of India and the Government of Maldives for the year 2002 and place it at the disposal of M/s Indian Sugar Exim Corporation Ltd., New Delhi for export to Maldives.
