Provident Fund scheme was started by few concerns even before the enactment of the act. The government in 1952 framed this act for the benefit and welfare of the employees. This act is applicable to employees drawing pay not more than Rs. 6,500 pm but at the time of registration the same employee pay should not exceed Rs. 5,000.
Where the father dies leaving behind only minor daughters and their mother as natural guardian, the share of the daughters became definite; the question of family partition retaining the character of joint Hindu Family property does not exist. In the present case, after the death of the father, the property has been shared amongst each member of the family and recorded in the mutation register having 1/4th share each. In such circumstances, the provision of subsection (3) of Section 8 shall attract as the mother sold the property without previous permission of the Court.

Section 188 of the Companies Act, 2013 has been inserted in place of section 297 of the Companies Act, 1956. In previous law, it was mandatory to take Central Government approval for any transactions which was covered under section 297 of the Companies Act, 1956 where the paid up capital of the company was more than Rs. 1 cr.
(i) Whether Central Bureau of Investigation, popularly called CBI, is a constitutionally valid police force empowered to investigate crimes? (ii) Could a police force, empowered to investigate crimes, have been created and constituted by a mere Resolution of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, in purported exercise of its executive powers?
We are of the view that the civil servants cannot function on the basis of verbal or oral instructions, orders, suggestions, proposals, etc. and they must also be protected against wrongful and arbitrary pressure exerted by the administrative superiors, political executive, business and other vested interests.
