Power to appoint inspectors to inspect of books & papers of a company-Reg.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section(1) of section 458 of the Companies Act(18 of 2013), the Central Government being satisfied that circumstances warrant, hereby delegates the powers to appoint inspectors for inspection of books and papers of a company under sub-section(5) of section 206, as ordered by Central Government , to the Regional Directors.

Delhi VAT: Competition amongst officers on relevant legal provisions

The participation in the competition shall be mandatory for all the aforesaid officers and based on the result of competition, the best performing officers shall be suitably rewarded along with a certificate of appreciation. The first competition shall be held on 1st June, 2016 and thereafter on 1st working day of every month.

The criteria for recognition as status holder has been changed w.e.f 01.04.2016 to the exports in the current and previous three financial years from the existing criteria of current and previous two financial years. Forthe Gems and Jewellery Sectors the existing criteria of export performance in the current and previous two years shall continue.

The Government has proposed the following in the Finance Bill, 2016 with regard to the National Pension System (NPS): i. Allowing 40 per cent of the NPS corpus tax exempt on lump sum withdrawal. ii. ii. Waiving service tax on the NPS corpus utilized for purchase of annuity. iii. The amount receivable by the nominee in case of death of the subscriber covered under NPS has been made tax exempt.
