It is the endeavour of DGFT to provide various trade related information in electronic format. At present this information is available on the website of the DGFT (http://www.dgft.gov.in). As part of trade facilitation, DGFT has now developed a mobile application which has been released for the Android platform. Mobile app has the following features:
The Government is committed to improving ‘ease of doing business’ and move towards paperless submission and processing of various applications under Foreign Trade Policy (FTP). Trade is informed that a Beta version of online ANF 3A has now been released and it is now possible to not only apply online for claiming rewards under MEIS but also to upload the required supporting documents using digital signatures of the applicant
Consequent to sanction of rebate / refund claims by the competent authority, cheques are being issued and the same are sent by Registered Post or handed over to the authorized person in person. The present procedure entails paper work and man power deployment by the claimants as authorized persons are required to visit the departmental offices for collection of refund cheques.
The Para 3.24 of the new Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 provides for certain privileges and preferential treatment for the Status Holders. As per sub para (g) of Para 3.24 of FTP, status holders would be entitled to preferential treatment and priority in handling of their consignments by the concerned agencies.
Trade Notice No.1/2015-16 Date- 1st June, 2015 The Committee (CQCTD) would look into any application for investigation of quality complaints and/or other trade disputes which are filed in the office of Zonal DGFT, Mumbai/RA Nagpur and RA Panjim in the format given in ANF 8 of Appendices and Aayaat Niryaat Forms which are duly supported by self-attested copies of relevant documents.

The new Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 has identified trade facilitation and enhancing the ease of doing business as it’s major focus areas and it is Government’s endeavour and commitment to move towards paperless processing. In this regard, a facility has been provided to importer/ exporter to upload his basic details and documents in the Importer-Exporter Profile.
It has been under consideration for some time that the meetings between the officers of this Directorate and the Members of Trade/public in respect of pending issues/ grievances etc. be made more fruitful and result oriented. To achieve this objective, it has been decided to streamline the procedure for interaction and in so far as DGFT Headquarters is concerned, visiting hours between 3 P.M. — 5 P.M. each working day would be earmarked for meetings with non officials/ Members of Trade.
It is noticed that Customs Brokers, Steamer Agents, Exporters are approaching the Officers for amendment of Vessel Name/Rotation No. on the Shipping Bills. This is not required since the Vessel Name/Rotation No. gets automatically picked up from the Export General Manifests and amendments take place.
Issue of import authorisation by Regional Authorities of DGFT would commence from 9th January 2015 and end on 15th January 2015. In case, any applicant/firm is found to have submitted false or erroneous information or have made any mis-declaration / misrepresentation, such applicant/firm, (a) shall forfeit the allocation made in this Trade Notice, (b) shall be debarred from allocation of Rough Marble and Travertine Blocks in future and (c) shall be liable for penal action under the provisions of Foreign Trade (D&R) Act, 1992, as amended.
