MCA Annual Filing for FY 2024-25 V3 Is Around the Corner 38 Forms (Including 13 Annual Filing & 6 Audit Forms) Go Live on 14th July 2025 — Get Ready for a Roller Coaster Ride!

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has announced a major leap in its digital compliance journey by launching the final set of 38 Company Forms on the MCA21 V3 Portal — effective from 14th July 2025 at 12:00 AM. This upgrade includes:

  • 13 Annual Filing Forms, and
  • 6 Audit/Cost Audit Forms

This transition marks the final phase of shifting entirely from the legacy MCA V2 Portal to the much-anticipated V3 Portal, aiming to enhance user experience, compliance accuracy, and service delivery.

Key Timelines & Critical Changes

Discontinuation of MCA V2 Filings

  • Effective from: 18th June 2025, 12:00 AM
  • What this means: No filings can be made on V2 post this date.
  • Action Required: Clear all pending SRNs in “Payment Pending” or “Resubmission” status before 18th June.

Offline Payments Disabled on V2

  • From: 8th June 2025
  • Impact: The “Pay Later” option will be discontinued.
  • Next Step: Use online payment (Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking) only.

V3 Portal Downtime: Plan Ahead!

  • From: 9th July 2025 (12:00 AM) to 13th July 2025 (11:59 PM)
  • Portal Status: Completely unavailable
  • Important: File or resubmit all current V3 forms before 9th July to avoid penalties or missed deadlines. No extensions or waivers will be granted for filings due during this downtime.

Update Your User Account on V3

  • What You Must Do:
    • Create a new Business User ID, or
    • Upgrade/Merge your existing V2 ID into V3.
  • Don’t Forget: Associate your DSC (Digital Signature Certificate) in the V3 system.

Upload All Pending Details by 17th June

For SRNs marked:

  • “Pending for upload of Investor Details”, or
  • “Pending for Subsidiary Details”
  • Use the MCA portal’s specific services to update the records. Non-compliance will result in SRNs being marked “NTBR” (Not to be Reprocessed).

Practical Advice for Professionals:

As a practicing professional, it’s crucial to plan filings ahead of the transition period. Ensure:

  • All your clients are informed.
  • All team members are trained on V3.
  • SRNs and filings are not left for the last moment.
  • Adequate testing of DSC functionality and user logins on V3.

Final Word:

This is more than a routine portal upgrade — it’s a major digital compliance shift. Let’s take this challenge as an opportunity to strengthen our practice systems, educate our clients, and show resilience as compliance experts.

Stay proactive. Stay prepared. Stay professional.

MCA V3 is not just an upgrade — it’s a transformation.
