Import of consumables other than milk and dairy products, vegetable, horticulture and agriculture products would be permitted under the scheme. However, beverages, spirits and vinegar covered under Chapter 22 of ITC(HS) Classification or seafood items ( both processed and semi processed) are permitted to be imported.

In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-2007 and paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Procedures ( Vol.I), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the Schedule of DEPB rate.
A Status holder or a PSU may also submit Corporate Guarantee in lieu of Bank Guarantee/LUT in terms of the provisions of relevant Customs Circular in this regard. In case of a group company, if one company of a Group is a status holder, Corporate Guarantee may be given for another company by this company, which is not a status holder.

It has been decided to allocate a quantity of 8,000 MTs of Raw sugar from the freesale portion of 2003-2004 season production (October1,2003 to September30, 2004) for export as Preferential Raw Cane Sugar Tariff Rate quota for the fiscal year 2004 (October 1,2003 to September 30, 2004) to USA and place the same at the disposal of M/s Indian Sugar Exim Corporation Ltd., New Delhi.
