Public Notice No. 51 (RE-03)/2002-2007, issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on 17th February 2004, amends the provisions related to exports made to Special Economic Zones (SEZs) under the Export and Import Policy (2002-2007). The amendment, made in the Handbook of Procedures Vol. 1, follows the earlier inclusion of SEZs in Public Notice No. 11 dated 30th May 2003. The revised policy clarifies that exports to SEZs, as notified by the Department of Commerce, are now eligible for Duty Entitlement Pass Book (DEPB) benefits. This adjustment aims to streamline export procedures and provide incentives to businesses engaging with SEZs, ensuring a more efficient and beneficial framework for exports.
