Withdraw the privilege of VAT refund in respect of the High Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, New delhi (Entry at Sl. No 72 of Sl. No. 1 in Part-A of the Sixth Schedule) for its official purchases as well as for personal purchases of its diplomats, till further order.

NOTIFICATION

Date – 16.09.2013.

No.F.5(54)/Policy-II/VAT/2012-13/769-781 : WHEREAS the Ministry of External Affairs. Government of India: in accordance with the principle of reciprocity has requested the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi vide their letter No.D-11/451/12(37)/2007 dated 16/08/2013, to keep in abeyance the privilege of VAT refund in respect of the High Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, New Delhi for its official purchases as well as for personal purchases of its diplomats.

And, whereas, I, Prashant Goyal, Commissioner, Value Added Tax, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, am of the opinion that it is expedient in the public interest to do so.

Now, therefore. in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 103 of the Delhi Value Added Tax Act, 2004 (Delhi Act 03 of 2005). I hereby withdraw the privilege of VAT refund in respect of the High Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, New Delhi (Entry at SI.No.72 of SI.No.1 in Part-A of the Sixth Schedule) for its official purchases as well as for personal purchases of its diplomats, till further order.

This notification shall come into force with immediate effect.
