Standard Input Output Norms (SION) A-39 for export product falling under the Chemicals and Allied Products Group has been amended.
The product description in the MEIS Schedules of Babies Garments and Clothing Accessories of Wool or Fine Animal Hair, Othr Mcanry Parts Of Heading 8485, Other Seats Of Heading 9401 existing prior to Public Notice 61 dated 07.03.2017 has been corrected in line with ITC (HS).
Attention of all Exporters/Customs brokers/members of Trade is invited to the fact that at times errors exist in the bank account number, IFSC etc., given by exporters, which leads to rejection of claim for payment of duty drawback by the local bank authorities. Similarly, even a single such error leads to rejection of entire scroll in the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) during the processing of claims for Rebate of State Levies (RoSL).
It has been observed that Direct Port Delivery (DPD) facility has reduced the time and cost for importers considerably. Therefore, it has been decided to consider Direct Port Delivery (DPD) permission to all such importers who are manufacturers, registered IPR holders provided their bulk of import is in FCL (Full container Load) and is being facilitated by RMS i.e. no examination, no assessment.
There has been request from various stakeholders for issue of compilation of such Public Notices issued in relation to Direct Port Entry (DPE) Procedure. Accordingly, brief about each Public Notice is given below in tabular form:
It has been noticed that Containers declared to be containing Hazardous cargo are allowed Direct Port Entry without examination, even if RMS Instructions are for Open & Examination.
There has been request from various stakeholders for issue of compilation of such Public Notices issued in relation to DPD Procedure for smooth clearance of consignments and to reduce dwell time of import.
The procedure for receipt and digitization of the above claims and manual brand rate of drawback claims will be as follows: (a) A service centre for receipt and digitization of the above mentioned claims will be functional in the EDI building in JNCH and all the above mentioned claims will be submitted to the receiving clerk posted there.
It has been represented by Trade / DPD Importer that cases where DPD importer has not indicated any preferred CFS Code [i.e. Containers are stacked in DPD Stacking as per choice indicated by DPD Client], Port Terminal Operator are not allowing goods to move to CFS untill 48 hours are over
The Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) benefit for export of ‘Onions Fresh or Chilled’ under ITC (HS) code 07031010 is extended up to 30.06. 2017.
