In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes following further amendments in Public Notice No.5 dated 17.5.2007.
New system of import from registered sources will come into effect from 1.4.2008. However, in cases where Bill of Lading is dated 31.03.2008 or before, imports will be allowed on the basis of Pre-Shipment Inspection regime in terms of Para 2.32 of the HBP v1, notified vide Public Notice No.1 dated 08.04.2005 and as amended from time to time, till new system of import from registered sources comes into effect. List of Pre-Shipment Agencies notified under earlier regime is available on DGFT web site.

In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009 and Paragraph 1.1 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.I), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes amendments / additions / corrections etc. in the Book Titled “Schedule of DEPB Rates” as annexed to this Public Notice. The new DEPB rates shall be valid for shipments made with Let export date upto till 31st March, 2008.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09 (updated as on 7th April, 2006) and Paragraph 1.1 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the Book titled “Schedule of DEPB rates.
In case where the input(s) required for the manufacture of the resultant export product have norms from further basic stage(s) for manufacture of one or more of such inputs, the licence can be issued by using these norms (excluding packing material, if any) in place of such inputs, for manufacture of the resultant export product.
Applications shall be submitted to DGFT on quarterly basis 15 days prior to start of new quarter i.e for quarter July-September application shall be submitted to DGFT by 15th June. However, for quarter ‘July-September’ of licensing year 2007-08 last date of application is 20th July 2007.
Indian Rupee Value of the special currency Basket for the purposes of deferred payments contracts entered into under the Deferred Payments Protocol dated the 30th April, 1981 for the period 1.1.81 to 31.12.85 and the Deferred payments protocol dated 23rd December, 1985 for the period 1.1.1986 to 31.12.90 between the Government of India and the former USSR relating to the deliveries of machinery and equipment from the USSR to India on deferred payment terms.
