Today (22nd September 2017) the Income Tax department has asked for details of email id, mobile no & bank account from the taxpayers. The said data is to be updated on the efiling website of the Income Tax department failing which the taxpayer cannot gain access to the site.
Now a day, there are continuous changes on Income Tax Website with respect to the access of Income Tax Website accounts by the users. Today, new Registration process to facilitate effective communication between the taxpayer and department has been enabled by the Income Tax Department.
Post login menus of Income Tax E-Filing Website https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ has been restructured. The Functionalities under menus available post login to e-Filing portal are restructured for making better user experience.
First of all, I should be sorry to write this blog very late i.e. on the last date of e-filing of return of income. If it would’ve written much earlier, then it might have save so many salaried employees to fall into the alluring trap of websites offering free e-filing services.
PRESS RELEASE NO. DSM/BY/KP-163/10 Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) that the process for renewal of the security certificate of the department’s e-filing portal was initiated well in time before it lapsed on 8th May 2010. Pending completion of certification procedure, the e-filing facility for AY 2010-11 has been temporarily suspended. This will not affect taxpayers in any way, as the earliest income tax return for AY 2010-11 falls due on 31st July 2010. The facility is expected to be renewed very shortly.
