In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 71/2006-Customs (N.T.), dated the 23rd June, 2006, S.O. 942(E), dated the 23rd June, 2006.
The principal notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R. 118(E), dated the 1st March, 2002 and was last amended by notification No.114/2006-Customs, dated the 28th November, 2006 which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide number G.S.R.726(E), dated the 28th November, 2006.
The Principal notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide Notification No.36/2001 – Customs (N.T.), dated, the 3rd August, 2001 (S.O.748 (E), dated, the 3rd August, 2001) and was last amended vide Notification No. 112/2006-Customs (N.T.), dated, the 31st October, 2006 (S.O. 1859 (E) dated 31st October 2006).
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest to do so, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 21/2002-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2002, namely.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (i) of clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No.111/2006-NT-Customs, dated the 26th October, 2006.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (i) of clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 14 of Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No.110/2006-NT-Customs, dated the 26th October, 2006 [S.O.1842(E) dated the 26th October, 2006], the Board hereby determines for the purposes of said section, relating to imported goods, that the rate of exchange of conversion of each of the foreign currency specified in column (2) of each of Schedule I and Schedule II appended hereto into Indian currency or vice versa shall, with effect from the 1st December, 2006, be the rate mentioned against it in the corresponding entry in column (3).
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Commissioner of Customs, Inland Container Depot, Tughlakabad, New Delhi and authorises him to exercise the powers and discharge the duties conferred or imposed, to act as the Commissioner of Customs (Import), Mumbai and Commissioner of Customs (Import), Nhava Sheva for the purposes of adjudicating the matters relating to Show Cause Notice pertaining to M/s Paradise International, 22, Gopal Market, 2nd Floor, Bhagirath Palace, Delhi-6.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Commissioner of Customs, Inland Container Depot, Tughlakabad, New Delhi and authorises him to exercise the powers and discharge the duties conferred or imposed, on the Commissioner of Customs, Jawahar Custom House, P.O. Uran, District Raigarh, Maharashtra, for the purpose of adjudicating the matters relating.
For the purpose of adjudicating the matters relating to Show Cause Notice pertaining to M/s M.K. Exim India Limited, 1, Anand Chambers, Baba Harish Chandra Marg, Indira Bazar, Jaipur – 01, works at E-3, RICCO Industrial Area, Sitapura, Jaipur and others, issued vide F.No. 23/16/2005-DZU, dated the 18th July, 2006 by the Additional Director General, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Delhi Zonal Unit, 6th Floor, B-4, Paryavaran Bhawan, C.G.O. Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Commissioner of Customs, Chennai Custom House (Sea Cargo).
