Notice on Waiver of Late Fees for Non-transmission of EPCG and DEEC Licences

Subject: Waiver of late fees due to Non-transmission of EPCG and DEEC (Advance Authorisation) Licences Online from DGFT to ICEGATE System – Reg

This Public Notice is with regard to the decision taken in PTFC Meeting held on 09.07.2024 on Waiver of late fee due to transmission of EPCG and DEEC (Advance Authorisation) Licence in ICEGATE System.

2. On the account of Non-transmission of 55 nos of EPCG and DEEC (Advance Authorisation) Licences(List is enclosed herewith) online from DGFT to ICEGATE system, the trade was facing difficulties in filing Bills of entry from 26^th June 2024 to 6^th July 2024 and the same was rectified by ICES on 07.07.2024.

3. Considering the difficulties faced by the trade in filing bills of entries against these Licenses during the said period, it is decided to waive off Late Fee for the Bills of Entry filed with the above mentioned Licenses and this Late fee waiver is applicable for bills of entries filed for the Vessels with entry inwards granted at Chennai Seaport (INMAA1), Kattupalli Port (INKAT1) and Ennore Port (INENR1) from 26^th June 2024 to 6^th July 2024 as per Section 46(3) of the Customs Act,1962.

4. This Public Notice shall be considered as a Standing Order for the purpose of officers and staff of the Department.

5. Difficulties faced, if any, may be brought to the notice of Assistant Commissioner of Customs (Appraising Main), Chennai-II(Import) for resolving the same.
