NOTIFICATION NO. 204/2006, DATED 31-7-2006

S.O. 1230(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (39) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government hereby notifies, —

(a) the ICC Development (International) Ltd., Craigmuir Chambers, Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin islands, as the person;

(b) the ICC Champions Trophy, 2006 to be held in India, as the International sporting event;

(c) the income arising to ICC Development (International) Ltd. from ICC Champions Trophy, 2006 on account of sale of media and sponsorship rights, received or receivable from Global Cricket Corporation Pvt. Limited, 8 Shenton Way, 30-01, Temasek Tower, Singapore 068811, amounting to $42 million, as the specified income, for the purposes of the said clause.
