Subject: Constitution of Computer Aided Selection of Cases for Scrutiny (CASS) Committee
2. The CASS Committee has been re-constituted under Chairmanship of Director General of Income Tax (Risk Assessment) {DGIT (RA)} as under:

4. The membership of the Committee shall be designation based and would have permanent character.
5. Terms of reference for the CASS Committee are as follows:
i. Analysis of suggestions received from field authorities.
ii. Recommendation of modification or removal of existing rules.
iii. Recommendation of introduction of new rules.
iv. Recommending changes in Income Tax Returns, Income Tax Forms, Third Party information etc., to enable effective scrutiny selection
v. Formulation of rules and selection of cases from NMS
6. This issues with the approval of Member (TPS & S) and DGIT (Risk Ass- sment).
