The Public Notice No. 15 (RE-03)/2002-2007, issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), announces updates to the Export and Import Policy 2002-2007, particularly concerning the Standard Input Output Norms (SION). Engineering product categories are also updated, such as for brass rods, epoxy resins, and thermostatic bimetal strips. Notably, the norms for specific export and import quantities are revised, ensuring alignment with current trade practices. The changes are intended to improve clarity and accuracy in the Handbook of Procedures and support international trade activities. These amendments are detailed in annexures attached to the notice, focusing on the practical adjustments required in the export-import framework. The DGFT stresses the importance of these updates for facilitating efficient trade and compliance with revised standards.

Attention is invited to Paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy 2002-2007, as amended and Paragraphs 4.9 and 4.10 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, 2002-2007, as amended and also to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended from time to time.
2. In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy 2002-2007, as amended, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments/modifications and additions in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended.
3. In the statement of Standard Input Output Norms as contained in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended, amendments/ corrections/ deletion at appropriate places as mentioned in Annexure “A” to this Public Notice shall be made.
4. In the statement of Standard Input Output Norms, following additions shall be made at appropriate places as mentioned below:-
