S.O.(E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 read with Section 3(2) of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) and also read with Para 1.3 and Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments to Notification No.93(RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 1st April, 2008 read with Notification No. 37 (RE-2008)/2004-09 dated 3rd September, 2008 and Notification No. 38 (RE-2008)/2004-2008 dated 5th September, 2008, Notification No. 39 dated 16th September, 2008 and Notification No.55 (RE-2008)/2004-09 dated 5th November, 2008:-
- In partial relaxation of ban on export of non-basmati rice imposed vide Notification No. 38 (RE-2007)/2004-09 dated 15th October 2007, read with above mentioned subsequent Notifications, the following 100% EOUs are allowed to export Non-basmati rice as per quantity as well as terms and conditions given under:-

- The export of non-basmati rice allowed to the above 100% EOUs shall be during Kharif Marketing Season 2008-09, and the quantity exported, shall be monitored through an appropriate system put in place by Department of Commerce.
