PRODUCER COMPANIES- (Section 581A to 581Z) of Companies Act 2013

Producer means any person engaged in any activity connected with or relatable to any primary produce and Producer Company means a body corporate having objects or activities specified in section 581B and registered as Producer Company under this Act.

Object of Producer Company

  • Production, harvesting, procurement, sorting, bundling, handling, marketing, sales, export of primary products Importing goods or services for the benefit of members or their interests: However, the manufacturer itself or other facilities.
  • Processing including product storage, drying, distillation, brewing, winemaking, storage, and packaging member.
  • Manufacture, sale or supply of machinery, equipment, or consumables primarily to its members.
  • Provide training to members and others on the principles of mutual assistance.
  • Providing technical services, advisory services, training, research and development, and all other activities Promote the interests of members.
  • Energy generation, transmission and distribution, activation of land and water resources, their use, Preservation, and communication related to primary products.
  • Manufacturer or its primary insurance Produce.
  • Promoting techniques of mutuality and mutual assistance

Documentation for Producer Company

Checklist of Documents for Formation of Producer Company

  • Number of directors- Minimum number of 5 directors and
  • Number of members – Minimum 10 members
  • Minimum paid-up capital of Rs. 5 Lakhs is required to form the company.
  • Producer Certificate from all the Subscribers

Mandatory Documents required for every director and Shareholders who don’t have DIN:-

  • Copy of PAN Card
  • Copy of ID Proof (Driving License or Passport or Voter ID Card)
  • Copy of Address Proof (Latest Bank Statement or utility Bill -Electricity Bill, Mobile Bill, Telephone Bill and Gas Bill)
  • Passport-sized photographs of all directors and shareholder
  • Registered office proof (copy of any Utility bill – Electricity Bill, Mobile Bill, Telephone Bill and Gas Bill)
  • Rent Agreement In case of rented property along with NOC from the owner
  • In case of owned Property, if the property is consented than NOC from the owner.
  • Mobile No. and Email ID

Mandatory Documents required for every director and Shareholders who have DIN:-

  • Copy of PAN Card
  • Passport-sized photographs
  • Address proof (Aadhaar Card copy or any other)
  • Mobile No. and Email ID.
