Where supplies in respect of contracts, as contained in Para 3(i ) & (ii ) above have already been completed on the date of issue of this Public Notice, such contracts shall not be eligible for grant of Advance licence for deemed export unless such licence had already been applied for prior to effecting the aforesaid supplies.
In continuation of Notification No. 50 (RE-2001)/1997-2002 dated the 22nd March , 2002, and Notification No.7 dated 12th April, 2002 and Public Notice No.8 dated 19th April,2002 releasing thereby the quantity of 2 Lakh MTs. , 1 Lakh MTs. and 6 Lakh MTs. of onion for export up to 31st March,2003 respectively the Director General of Foreign Trade has now decided that unutilised balance quantity of onions released under the above notifications shall be allowed for export upto 30th June, 2003.
Attention is invited to Paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy 2002-2007, as amended and Paragraphs 4.9 and 4.10 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, 2002-2007, as amended and also to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended from time to time.
Export of canned meat products shall be subject to preshipment inspection either by the State Directorate of Animal Husbandry or Export Inspection Agency or Directorate of Marketing and Inspection Government of India in accordance with either the standards prevalent in the exporting country or standards prescribed under the Meat Food Products Order, 1973 of Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act, 1963 or orders made thereunder.

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07, the Central Government hereby notifies the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07, as amended from time to time, as contained in Annexure to this notification. The Policy shall come into force 1st April, 2003.
On the other hand the amendment in PN 64 dated 19.02.2003 pertains to such established domestic companies who fulfil certain specified criteria like being registered with both the central excise and state sales tax authorities and having paid both the taxes unless exempted and having a minimum investment in plant and machinery of Rs 50 lakhs. The Advance Licence issued to such domestic companies would carry an endorsement that the bond/ BG furnished would be as per the terms and conditions stipulated by the Department of Revenue.
Attention is invited to Public Notice No.392 (PN)/92-97 dated 1.1.1997 according to which import of Plastic Waste/Scrap (except PET Bottle Waste/Scarp) and animal dung or animal excreta shall not, be permitted, except against a license. Applicants while submitting the application as per provisions laid down in para 1(iv) of the said public notice shall adhere to all guidelines / conditions of this public notice. They shall also furnish the following additional information / details while submitting the application to DGFT.

The matter has been considered in consultation with Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals and keeping in view the molecular structure of the above mentioned drug it has been decided that the Mefloquine Hcl is classifiable under ITS HS Code No.29333990 and is freely importable as per the policy indicated against the entry.
