The Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued Public Notice No. 69/2002-07 on 10th March 2003, amending entries in the “Schedule of DEPB Rates” under the Export and Import Policy 2002-07. Corrections were made to DEPB rates and value caps for various products in the Engineering and Chemicals product groups. Key revisions include: Brass Tubes (16%, Rs. 150/kg cap), Non-Alloy Steel Wire (17%, Rs. 30/kg cap), Seamless Stainless Steel Tubes (20%, Rs. 80/kg cap), and Fully Threaded Rods (18%, Rs. 30/kg cap). For Chemicals, Chlorhexidine Base/Gluconate now has an 11% DEPB rate. Additionally, the effective period for Agricultural Sprinklers in Annexure II of Public Notice No. 62 dated 17th February 2003, is corrected to 3rd January 2003 onwards. These changes aim to ensure accuracy and compliance in DEPB entitlement calculations.

In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07 and paragraph 1.1 of Handbook (Vol.1), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following correction/amendment in the book titled “Schedule of DEPB Rates.”
