In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Handbook of Procedures.
Attention is invited to Government of India, Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Ad-hoc Exemption Order No.4/2006-Customs dated 9th February, 2006 and Amendment thereof dated 9.2.2006. As per the said Ad-hoc Exemption Order, import of wheat is allowed at Zero Duty as per all the conditions specified therein.
An additional quantity of 2,050 MTs of Raw Sugar out of free sale portion of 2005-2006 season’s production for export to USA for the period from October 1, 2005 to September 30, 2006 stands allocated. This enhances the preferential Raw Cane Sugar Tariff Rate Quota from 9,050 MTs to 11,100 MTs for export to USA .
In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009 (Updated as on 31st March, 2005) and Paragraph 1.1 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1) ( Updated as on 31st March, 2005) , the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the Book titled “Schedule of DEPB rates.
Similarly, export obligation against import of (covered by chapter 9 of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export & Import Items, 2004-09) shall be fulfilled within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the first import consignment i.e. the date on which the first import consignment is cleared by the customs authorities.
Serial Number 4, namely , Self-certified copy of RBI approval in cases where non-resident interest/holding in the firm/company exists with repatriation benefits, stands deleted.
In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09 and Paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments/deletions/corrections and additions in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2004-2009, as amended.
The application for grant of credit under Vishesh Krishi Upaj Yojana may be made to the licensing authority concerned in the Aayaat Niryaat Form along with the documents prescribed therein. The applicant may file one or more applications subject to the condition that each application shall contain not more than 25 shipping bills. All the shipping bills in any one application must relate to exports made from one Customs House only.
The Exim Facilitation Committee (EFC) in the DGFT will evaluate and allot the quota among the applicants by 31st March of each financial year preceding to the year of the quota e.g. For 2006-07, EFC will allot quota by 31st March, 2006.
