In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (i) of clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 14 of Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No.110/2005-NT-Customs.
The principal notification was published vide number S.O. 829 (E), dated the 21st November, 1994 and last amended vide notification number 93/2005-Customs (NT), dated the 10th October, 2005, S.O. 1478 (E), dated the 10th October, 2005.
In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (aa) of sub-section (1) read with sub-section (2) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue).
The Principal notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide notification no.36/2001 – Customs (N.T.), dated, the 3rd August, 2001 (S.O.748 (E), dated, the 3rd August, 2001) and was last amended vide Notification No.01/2006-Customs (N.T), dated, the 2nd January, 2006 (S.O.1(E) dated 2nd January, 2006).
The principal notification No. 14/2002-Central Excise (N.T.), dated the 8th March, 2002 was published vide number G.S.R. 182 (E), dated the 8th March, 2002 and was last amended by notification No. 1/2005-Central Excise (N.T.), dated the 4th January, 2005, vide number G.S.R. 6 E), dated the 4th January, 2005.
Whereas in the matter of import of 1-Phenyl-3-Methyl-5-Pyrazolone (hereinafter referred to as the subject goods), falling under heading number 2916, 2917, 2924, 2933, 2942 or 9802 00 00 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), originating in, or exported from, the China PR (hereinafter referred to as the subject country).
In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (h) of sub-section (2) of section 156, read with sub-section (3) of section 137, of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely.
Form and manner of application. -(1) An applicant may, either before or after institution of prosecution, make an application under sub-section 2 of section 9A in the form appended to these rules, to the Compounding authority to compound the offence
For the purposes of adjudicating the matters relating to show cause notice pertaining to M/s Clarrity Intermediates and Pesticides, Surat and Others, issued vide Directorate of Revenue Intelligence F.No.DRI/SRU/INV-2/2004, dated the 18th July, 2005, by the Additional Director General, Ahmedabad Zonal Unit, Rupen Bungalow, Near Jain Merchant Society, Paldi, Ahmedabad.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the officers specified in column (5) of the Table below to act in respect of the matters specified in the corresponding entries in columns (2) and (3) of the said Table as officers specified in corresponding entry in column (4) of the said Table for the purpose of adjudication and investigation of such matters , namely.
