Registration of Goldman Sachs Mutual Fund Cancelled
Pursuant to the transfer of schemes of Goldman Sachs Mutual Fund to Reliance Mutual Fund and at the request of Goldman Sachs Mutual Fund, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), vide its letter dated December 30, 2016, has cancelled the certificate of registration of Goldman Sachs Mutual Fund and has withdrawn the approval granted to Goldman Sachs Asset Management (India) Private Limited, to act as the Asset Management Company to the Mutual Fund.
Consequently, with immediate effect, Goldman Sachs Mutual Fund, Goldman Sachs Trustee Company (India) Private Limited and Goldman Sachs Asset Management (India) Private Limited cannot carry out any activity in India as a Mutual Fund, Trustee Company and Asset Management Company respectively.
